NCLT Mandates Double-Sided Printing For All Filings To Promote Sustainability and Uniformity

As part of its objective to further environmental sustainability and bring about uniform documentation practices, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has ordered that all pleadings, petitions, replies, and affidavits submitted to any of its benches nationwide must now be printed on both sides of the paper.
The tribunal further directed that annexures and supporting documents may also be printed on both sides wherever practicable, provided the readability of records is not compromised.
According to a September 3 circular, all petitions, applications, replies, rejoinders, affidavits, and other pleadings filed before any NCLT Bench must henceforth be printed on both sides of the paper.
The circular further instructs Deputy Registrars and Assistant Registrars of Scrutiny Sections to ensure compliance and to communicate the directions to members of the Bar, litigants, and other stakeholders. Implementation is to be uniform across all benches, with immediate effect, applying to all fresh filings before the Tribunal.
