  • SNG & Partners Launches Gift City Office

GIFT City, Gujarat – April 17, 2026 – SNG & Partners, is pleased to announce the launch of its GIFT City office, located at Unit No. C-110, 4-Seater Cabin, Ground Floor, NILA SPACES, Plot No. T1-T4, Road 1A, Block 11, Zone 1, SEZ-PA, Gift City, Gandhinagar - 382355. With an already established footprint across Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, the announcement of the GIFT City office showcases the firm's continued investment in building a future-ready national platform, aligned with the evolving needs of domestic and international clients, marking the Firm's presence in the region where regulatory innovation, global capital, and institutional business are converging most rapidly.

Over the years, SNG & Partners has steadily built a strong multi-office, multi-disciplinary practice, marked by deliberate and sustained growth rather than rapid acceleration. The Firm has consistently focused on deepening capabilities, strengthening long- term client relationships, and expanding leadership across practices and geographies, while preserving the sophistication and partner-led attention that define its reputation. While the Firm established its early reputation through a highly regarded Banking & Financial Services practice, it has significantly broadened its corporate law offering over the years, building strong complementary practices across securities law, private equity, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, dispute resolution, private clients, intellectual property, and broader corporate advisory services.

Today, for the Firm GIFT City is a natural extension of this strategic growth, offering its existing divested practice services to entities engaged in the financial services and fintech arena. The presence in GIFT City places the Firm at the heart of India's only International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), where banking assets have grown more than sevenfold in five years, and with close to 40 banks now operating from GIFT IFSC. While trends indicate a widening and increasingly sophisticated financial services base, leading Indian and global institutions, and corporates are marking a serious presence here, drawn by regulatory clarity, tax efficiency, and the growing maturity of the ecosystem.

Commenting on the development, Rajesh Narain Gupta, Founder and Chairman, along with Amit Aggarwal, Managing Partner – Non-Contentious and Corporate Practice Group, jointly stated, “For us, this expansion is less about adding one more pin on the map and more about deepening our commitment to being present where our clients need us most. GIFT City has rapidly evolved into one of the most compelling destinations for banks, financial institutions, fund platforms, insurers, and corporates establishing India-facing international operations. Many of our clients have established their IBUs or presence, and it's natural for us to be present there. Our presence here is to ensure our continued connectivity with our clients and help them to undertake their business activities.”

Speaking beyond the economics and defining this as a move to invest ahead of demand, both added, “As a Firm, we believe our role is to invest ahead of demand so that clients experience continuity, confidence, and immediate access to senior legal judgment. Therefore, this move is not driven by economics alone, important as those are. It is equally a response to a strong pull from our clients, banking relationships, institutional connects, and cross-border partners who have consistently expressed the need for trusted, on-ground legal counsel capable of delivering sophisticated, business-sensitive advice.”

This expansion follows the announcement of the Firm's dedicated Japan Desk (in 2024), which services Japanese institutions and cross-border investors, as well as its exclusive referral arrangement with RK Dewan & Co., a Pune-based intellectual property firm, enabling SNG to offer an integrated advisory platform (in 2025).

The GIFT City office will focus on advising clients across a range of practice areas, including cross-border banking, fund structuring, financial services regulation, fintech, inbound and outbound investments, and international commercial arrangements.

With this launch, the Firm has presence in 4 cities and 8 offices, led by 30 Partners.
