SEBI Opens Local Office In Chandigarh For Investor Grievance Redressal, Financial Education

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has inaugurated a Local Office in Chandigarh to facilitate investor grievance redressal, promote financial literacy and engage with securities market participants in Punjab, Haryana and the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
SEBI's Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey inaugurated the office on October 5, 2026. The office is located at SCO No. 20-25, 2nd Floor, Jeevan Prakash Building, Sector 17B, Chandigarh.
The Chandigarh office will function under the administrative control and jurisdiction of SEBI's Northern Regional Office in New Delhi.
According to SEBI, the new office will facilitate the redressal of investor complaints against listed companies and market intermediaries within its jurisdiction. It will also undertake initiatives aimed at improving investor education and financial literacy.
The office will further engage with issuers and market participants, particularly those associated with Small and Medium Enterprises, Social Stock Exchanges, Municipal Bonds and Corporate Bonds.
SEBI stated that the Chandigarh Local Office may also undertake such other functions as may be assigned to it from time to time.
