The Securities and Exchange Board of India has launched three new IT platforms to improve communication with external entities, digitally conduct quasi-judicial proceedings, and strengthen cybersecurity supervision of SEBI-regulated entities.
Among the initiatives, SEBI introduced the Single Universal Platform for Communications (SUPCOMS) to streamline communication with external entities and enhance institutional memory. It replaces email-based interactions, ensures easy access to communications, and creates an audit trail while preventing fragmented exchanges and broken reply chains.
SEBI has also launched an e-adjudication portal to digitally enable quasi-judicial proceedings. The portal provides a transparent, paperless framework and allows access to show cause notices, submission of replies and documents, filing of requests, and participation in proceedings through online hearings.
Further, SEBI introduced the Cyber-Sec Audit Compliance (C-SAC) platform, an AI-enabled system to strengthen cybersecurity supervision. It automates analysis of cyber audit reports, identifies compliance gaps, risk areas and generates actionable insights. The platform improves efficiency, reduces manual effort, and supports timely, data-driven supervision, while also providing risk scores and comparative analysis to enhance SEBI's risk-based supervision approach.
