CCI Gives Nod To Prudential Corporation Holdings' Acquisition Of Bharti Life Insurance Stake

The Competition Commission of India on Tuesday approved the proposed acquisition of certain equity shareholding in Bharti Life Insurance Company Limited by Prudential Corporation Holdings Limited.

The proposed combination involves Prudential Corporation Holdings acquiring a stake in Bharti Life Insurance, an insurer incorporated in India and licensed by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.

Prudential Corporation Holdings serves as the holding company for the Prudential Group's insurance and asset management businesses in Asia. It also provides management and support functions for the business operations across Asia and Africa.

The Commission stated that a detailed order would be issued.
