Competition Commission Approves General Atlantic's Acquisition Of Stake In Balaji Wafers

The Competition Commission of India on 3 March approved the acquisition of certain shareholding in Balaji Wafers Private Limited by General Atlantic Singapore BWP Pte Ltd.

According to the press release, General Atlantic Singapore BWP Pte Ltd will acquire certain shareholding in Balaji Wafers on a fully diluted basis from its existing shareholders.

General Atlantic is an investment holding company incorporated in Singapore and affiliated with a group of General Atlantic investment funds.

Balaji Wafers is engaged in the business of manufacturing and selling packaged foods, including salted snacks, non-salted snacks, biscuits, ready-to-eat foods, and condiments, with a strong presence in western and central India.
