Delhi High Court Restrains Real Estate Websites Using SignatureGlobal Marks And Project Material

Justice Jyoti Singh passed the order on September 14, 2026, directing domain registrars—including GoDaddy, Hostinger, Namecheap, and Wix—to immediately lock and suspend nine rogue websites impersonating the real estate company's official portals.

SignatureGlobal, a listed real estate developer, told the Court it discovered nine fake websites during a routine check for misuse of its intellectual property.

Some of the websites, with names like signatureglobalfloors.co.in and signatureglobalbuilders.com, allegedly used its registered "SIGNATUREGLOBAL" mark and added words like "floors," "builders," or city names.

Others, the company alleged, lifted actual project renders, photos, descriptions and maps from its luxury housing project developed in collaboration with Tonino Lamborghini, and even displayed its logo to falsely suggest an official tie-up.

The Court found SignatureGlobal had made out a strong prima facie case, and that letting the fake websites continue to operate would cause it irreparable harm to its goodwill and reputation.

It accordingly passed the ad-interim order restraining the unnamed operators from running any of the nine flagged websites, or any other site using the SignatureGlobal name or lookalike variants of it.

The bench also directed the domain registrars to lock and suspend the specific domains within 72 hours.

The case is next listed for January 21, 2027.
