CJI: SG has given asusrance that all preventive and remedial action will be taken to ensure that no impediment is caused in the investigation
CJI: Mr Bhushan for the petitioner states that owing to the amount alleged to be involved, there is every likelihood of the principle accused fleeing the country. Mr Rohatgi appearing for Respondent 5 states that the respondent will not leave the country without permission of the court
CJI: investigation should not be tampered at any cost
SG: I respect Mr Rohatgi's statement, but in the past he did make statement for another person before the Delhi HC, but that person did flee
Bhushan: there is a serious apprehension that the owner of all these countries may flee the country, he has not been arrested, so many people with 10,000 crores of fraud have fled the country
Rohatgi: Iam in my office working, is there any material to say I have fled the country? why do you make such statements? just because of the press ?
CJI: reliance to S.17A of the PCA is totally misconcieved, we direct that regardless of any such provision, the CBI must look into the collusion/ connivance and take the investigation to its logical conclusion
CJI: both ED and CBI have already taken time and we therefore expect that both agencies will act promptly. carefully, let status report be filed within 4 weeks
CJI: it is imperative for the CBI to investigate the conduct of the Banks as to whether, the financial assistance was released with the collusion of the management of the banks
CJI (refers to CBI Report) : it seems that a formal complaint was made by the SBI, the complaints made by other banks are being investigated...
CJI: we are not expressing any merits, except that there has been an unexplainable delay on part of the ED

CJI: it appears to us that the ED must conclude every posisble financial transactions which might be suspected...the ED is well advised to constitute a SIT comprising of its senior officers and take all lawful measures to bring the investigation to a logical end
