Delhi High Court Restrains “keiekae.store” From Using IKEA Name, Logo And Website Interface
The Delhi High Court on 20 May passed the order in a suit filed by Inter IKEA Systems BV and granted interim protection against trademark and copyright infringement.
Justice Jyoti Singh restrained the registrant of the domain name “keiekae.store” from using IKEA's registered trademarks and from replicating the layout and user interface of IKEA's official website. She directed that until the next date of hearing, the defendant shall not use the IKEA name or logo in any manner, including as part of domain names, websites, mobile applications, social media handles, promotional activities, bank accounts, or business correspondence.
Further, the Bench restrained the defendant from using or copying the layout or user interface of “keiekae.store” or any other website that allegedly infringes IKEA's copyright in the interface of www.ikea.com. It also impleaded the registrant of “keiekae.store” as Defendant No. 13 through a fresh impleadment application, which it allowed on the same day.
At the threshold stage, the Court allowed the application for amendment of the plaint and the interim injunction application. It directed that summons in the suit be returnable before the Joint Registrar on 21 July 2026.
The matter is next listed to be heard on 20 July 2026.
